Apply Spray-on Waterproof Product: A spray on water proof product is an oil based silicon spray. It is applied on the surface of the ordinary backpack. It forms a layer above the material of the backpack which usually acts as a shield against rain or water.
Use a Polythene Bag: Waterproof polythene bags are specifically designed for using in a backpack. They are available in the supermarket, and work by readily slipping into the compartment and other sections of the rucksack.
Other than the above processes, you can buy small separate colourful dry bags. They are available in different sizes and shapes. Apart from protecting your equipment from rain or moisture, you can also keep them well organised within the backpack. Separate dry bags are available for food, camera and other equipment. It keeps the stuff in your backpack well organised. You do not have grope away inside the bag to get to your item. It is inexpensive as well.
